Lightroom Mobile on iOS users can rejoice— the “Import Presets” feature has arrived!
Previously, installing presets in Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, and Photoshop required downloading and importing .zip files of XMP presets. Android users have enjoyed this feature since April 2020, leaving iOS users waiting for an update. Now, iOS users can experience the ease of importing presets directly into Lightroom Mobile.
The new feature allows you to “easily share and save your favorite looks with improved capabilities to import and export presets or groups of presets via XMP.” It is as easy as it sounds!
Previously, iOS users had to save presets from DNG files individually, or sync presets from another device. Now, you can download and import presets quickly on both the paid and free Lightroom Mobile app. Unfortunately, you still cannot select multiple folders at once, meaning you’ll need to import collections one by one.
You’ll simply download your zipped preset collection to your device. Open and image and open your presets. Ensure you are on the main preset page, not in a specific collection. Tap the three dots in the upper right corner and select Import Presets. Navigate to your zipped file and import.
It’s so easy now! Moving forward we will no longer sell mobile specific presets. All presets will be in XMP format and ready for use in any Lightroom application.
